Why are we here?

Our vision, or purpose, the answer for “Why are we here?” is simple: To Glorify God by Sharing HIS Love and Proclaiming HIS Word. It is Christ’s command for us, as found in Matthew 28:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe eveyrthing I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20a.

It is the mission of our church to reach out to the residents of the Kern River Valley, first with the love of God through our words and deeds, then to share His Gospel message with them so that all can receive the promises, the blessings, and the grace we receive from God. In doing this, we live our our slogan: to

Walk with the Shepherd……Live as HIS Disciple
